| I
recently received a letter from the assistant curator at the Newport
Restoration Foundation in Newport, RI.Founded by tobacco heiress
and philanthropist Doris Duke in 1968, the foundation has two museum
properties, including Rough Point, Miss Dukes Newport mansion.
They have a large collection of Miss Dukes clothing and accessories
in their collection that was left to the foundation at the time
of her death in 1993. The collection, includes a necklace that I
made and was owned by Miss Duke. Attached is an image of the collar
choker inscribed Ann Biederman on the back. |
